Migraine vs Regular Headache: Key Differences You Should Know

Har dard ko “migraine” bol dena trend ban gaya hai, lekin migraine actually ek specific type ka headache disorder hai. Difference samajh loge, to treatment aur triggers handle karna asaan ho jayega.

Regular tension-type headache usually dull, band jaisa pressure hota hai forehead ya sir ke dono side. Light–sound se bohot zyada problem nahi hoti, aur halka painkiller, pani, rest se theek ho jata hai.

Migraine more dramatic hota hai. Head usually one-sided, throbbing type, medium to severe intensity. Saat me nausea, vomiting, light ya sound se extreme irritation, smell se bhi problem ho sakti hai. Kahin-kahin logon ko attack se pehle aura dikhta hai – vision me flashes, zig-zag lines, ya numbness jaisa feel.

Migraine hours se leke kuch logon me 1–2 din tak bhi kheench sakta hai. Sirf “tablet le lo aur bhool jao” se kaam rarely banta hai. Triggers – like certain foods, sleep pattern change, hormonal shifts, stress, dehydration – identify karna aur avoid karna important part hai.

Frequent ya disabling migraine ke liye doctors kabhi-kabhi preventive medicines dete hain, sirf attack ke time ka tablet nahi. Isliye “just headache hai” keh ke ignore mat karo, especially agar attacks repeat ho rahe ho.
