Stroke Rehabilitation: Why Early Movement and Therapy Matter So Much

Stroke ke baad sabse pehle log ka focus survival pe hota hai – jo ki obviously sabse zaroori hai. Lekin jaisi condition thodi stable hoti hai, ek aur race start ho jati hai: recovery of movement, speech and independence.

Brain damage ke baad “lost” functions ka kuch part body kahe na kahe compensate kar sakti hai, aur brain bhi plasticity ke through naye connections bana sakta hai. Ye magical nahi, structured rehab ka result hota hai – physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, psychologist ka combined effort.

Early movement – jaise bed exercises, sitting balance, assisted standing, basic transfers – bed sores, chest infection, joint stiffness, clot risk sab kam karte hain. Saath hi brain ko signal milta hai ki ye limb/skill ab bhi “in use” hai, jis se recovery chances better ho sakte hain.

Har stroke ka damage area aur severity alag hota hai. Kuch log weeks me bohot progress karte hain, kuch ko months lagte hain, kuch ko limited return milta hai. Family expectation realistic hona bhi zaroori hai.

Home environment ko rehab-friendly banana – grab bars, clutter removal, proper chair/bed height – practical cheezon me help karta hai. Stroke recovery ek marathon hai; patience, repetition, and emotional support teenon ati zaroori hote hain.
