Safe Use of Pharmacies: Why You Shouldn’t Start Strong Medicines Without a Prescription

Local pharmacy ham sabka first stop ban gaya hai – headache, cold, acidity, kuch bhi ho, “bhaiya kuch de do”. Short-term relief mil sakta hai, par strong medicines ko bina doctor ke guidance long term lena genuinely risky hota hai.

Antibiotics iska best example hain. Sardi–khansi viral honi ki probability bohot zyada hai, jisme antibiotic ka koi role nahi. Wrong use se gut flora kharab, side effects, aur sabse dangerous – antibiotic resistance. Phir jab actual serious infection hoga, normal drugs kaam hi nahi karenge.

Painkillers, especially high-dose ya combination wale, roz–roz lene se stomach ulcers, kidney damage, BP issues ho sakte hain. Sleep tablets, anti-anxiety pills, steroids – ye sab self-start categories bilkul nahi hain.

Pharmacies ka safe use kuch aisa ho sakta hai:

  • Doctor ka लिखा हुआ prescription follow karo.
  • Minor issues (ORS, mild antacid, basic pain relief short-term) ke liye bhi instructions dhyan se suno.
  • Same complaint baar-baar repeat ho raha hai to sirf pharmacy rounds ke bajay check-up karao.

Acha chemist khud bhi kabhi-kabhi bolega: “Ye symptom doctor ko dikha ke aana better hai.” Ye sun ke bhi ignore mat karo.

Short-term ease ke chakkar me long-term health ko risk par rakhna smart deal nahi.
