Fragrance Basics: Difference Between Perfume, Eau de Toilette and Body Mist

Perfume counter pe jaate hi terms ka chakkar shuru ho jata hai—perfume, EDP, EDT, cologne, body mist. Log smell se choose karte hain, lekin concentration samajh lo to expectation better set hota hai.

Simplified version:

  • Perfume/Parfum: Highest fragrance oil concentration. Thoda sa lagao, zyada strong aur lamba chalne wala. Price bhi usually highest.
  • Eau de Parfum (EDP): Thoda lighter than parfum but still long-lasting. Day–night dono ke liye popular choice.
  • Eau de Toilette (EDT): Aur light, fresher feel, 3–5 ghante tak noticeable. Office, daily wear me log often EDT prefer karte hain.
  • Eau de Cologne: Aur bhi lighter, more citrusy/fresh, short-lasting.
  • Body mist/spray: Sabse soft, subtle, zyada re-application chahiye. Good for gym, casual use, ya layering.

Jitna concentration high, utna little goes a long way. Heavy parfum ko closed office me generously spray karna shayad colleagues ko headache de de.

Skin type bhi matter karta hai—dry skin pe fragrance thoda jaldi fade hoti hai, to moisturiser ya unscented oil top/under layer helpful ho sakta hai. Clothes pe lightly spritz karna bhi longevity badha sakta hai (lekin delicate fabrics pe stains ka dhyan rakho).

Fragrance personal hai. Trend se zyada, dekho tumhein kaun sa note suit karta hai aur kis intensity me comfort milta hai.
