Thyroid Health Basics: Common Symptoms of Overactive and Underactive Thyroid

Thyroid ek chhota sa gland hota hai neck me, lekin metabolism ka main remote control iske haath me hota hai. Jab yeh underactive (hypothyroid) ya overactive (hyperthyroid) ho jata hai, to pura system off-feel karne lagta hai.

Underactive thyroid (hypo) me log aksar yeh feel karte hain: thakan jo aaram ke baad bhi ja nahi rahi, weight badhna even with normal eating, dryness of skin, hair fall, constipation, thandi zyada lagna, slow mood, period changes (ladies me). Kabhi-kabhi log ise “bas laziness” samajh ke ignore kar dete hain.

Overactive thyroid (hyper) me ulta pattern hota hai: weight girna despite acchi appetite, heartbeat fast, ghabrahat, sweating, heat intolerance, hand tremors, irritability, sleep problem. Kabhi log sochte hain “metabolism fast hai, acha hi hoga,” lekin long term me heart aur bones pe nuksan ho sakta hai.

Diagnosis simple blood test se hota hai (TSH, T3, T4). Thyroid problems myth jaise nahi, kuch “detox diet” se magically reset nahi ho jaate. Generally regular medicine se hormones ko balance me rakha jata hai, jinhe daily aur long term lete hain.

Agar tum weird mix of fatigue, mood shifts, weight changes, hair–skin issues notice kar rahe ho jo lifestyle se explain nahi ho rahe, ek baar thyroid test karwana banta hai. At least clear picture mil jaati hai.
